    During Smith's Pittsburgh documentary, he's said to have searched
    Pittsburgh
    street maps looking for interesting street names to photograph. This included Dream Street, Pride Street, Climax, and Ophelia and Hamlet streets.
    Details:
    This smaller sized press print was made under permission of the photographer's estate to promote Smith's photo exhibition that toured Japan in 1982 (see scan of exhibition catalog cover). It is nearly 40 years old and was intended for circulation to media organizations who requested it for publishing in print or television broadcast. It was not made from the original negative, but instead from a master negative made specially for making multiple prints. On the back of the print is Smith's copyright stamp.
