Vtg Hand-quilted & pieced Patchwork Queen sz by Quilters Hall of Fame Artist

This glorious patchwork quilt measures a generous 78 in by 93 in, and is photographed here on a queen size bed. This is a new quilt, it is never been washed, and yet it is a vintage quilt, because it was made at least 20 years ago. No stains, no tears, no sign of use.
The blocks that were hand stitched together to create this quilt are measured 2 in across, and you can see the stitching quality with 8 stitches per inch, and a 10 in drop on either side. You will see prairie points on the sides, and this is a lightweight fluffy quilt.
About the artist who created this quilt. Her name is Arene Burgess and her work is without peer. She was a prolific quilter, often producing items that were displayed, then put away for preservation. She was a Quilt Historian, teacher of quilting and applique. Arene's work is featured in the Quilters Hall of Fame, in Marie Webster's Arene Burgess Collection.
