USA R101c Horizontal pair & single, tied (between perfs) by "W. A. Leech, Register of Wills, Dec. 28, 1868" oval datestamps on filing of will for George Fahnestock of Philadelphia. The will is also part of the same document, the document with additional embossed seal from city of Philadelphia. A scarce franking.George Fahnestock was a member of the Academy of Natural Sciences and his pamphlet collection was donated (in this will) to the Historical Society of Pennsylvania, the tax of 50c per ,000 estimated the estate's value at 0,000. 1985 P.F. certificate.
