    Private Die Proprietary Stamps, which most collectors refer to as Match and Medicine stamps, were most often torn or otherwised damaged when the box or container the stamp was afixed to was opened. Scott Catalog prices the stamps assuming they are somewhat faulty and in Fine-Very Fine (F/VF) condition.
