    The diaphragms most likely need to be replaced if you notice the oil plug pops out or if there is a milky grey color in the sight glass. This usually indicates the diaphragms have ruptured and will need to be replaced immediately. Running your pump with torn diaphragms can cause extensive damage to your pump. In order to maintain your pump's performance in the field, it is recommended to replace diaphragms every 3 months or 500 hours.
