Original 1968 Ford Gulf GT40 Carroll Shelby Racing Patch SAAC Vintage LeMans SVT

Description

This is an original embroidered sew on Patch with the Gulf JWA Team a 1968 LeMans winner.  This style patch was used on racing jackets, team shirts and hats.  It measures 4 1/8" x 3 1/8".
Note:  This is not a new iron-on style patch.
Here’s my background:
I have been racing Shelbys,  AC Cobras and Boss Trans-Am cars since 1966 and started collecting Shelby literature and memorabilia since 1966.  I acquired a lot of my collection while racing at the many different SAAC events.  Some items came from Carroll Shelby’s race car drivers and associates.  I have been a member of SAAC since 1976 and one of the honorary members.  I acquired the contents of the Shelby American warehouse when it closed in Gardenia, California.  My collection has many very rare original Shelby items.  I wrote an article in the Shelby American magazine, telling how to recognize an original from a reproduction.  I sold for many years in the SAAC Snakebite.   Therefore you can bid with confidence on my items.
