    Description

    This antenna is designed to work as part of a portable CB radio  of the 26-28 MHz band in the field to increase the radio communication range.
    It is a half-wave vertical dipole with a small electrical shortening for ease of placement in trees or on a telescopic fishing rod mast 5 m high.This mast may be required for installation in open areas (field, tundra, steppe, desert) in the absence of tall trees for hanging. In the forest, it is more convenient to hang it by suitable branches.
    The lower part of the dipole is cut off by the HF choke from the drop feeder. The choke frame also serves as an antenna housing for laying the wires during transport. The cable has a TNC connector.
    Additional tuning of the operating frequency can be done by lengthening (shortening) the antenna near the insulator.
