    First Issue  Revenue Stamps on 1868 Promissory Note
    , R24, R26 (strip of 3), and R54. Stamps have creases from folding of document, pen cancelled with Quaker dates in manuscript. Promissory note from Asa Janney who became indebted due to Sheridans "Burning Raid" of November 1864 (see second scan for history). There is some light foxing and staining. Scarce revenue mixed franking. Shipped by USPS First Class package.
