Rhodesian Selous Scouts
This is a nice reproduction of an original  color photograph from the Rhodesian bush war.  The photo shows a group of Rhodesian Selous Scouts.  These were very higly trained counter-insurgency troops who often posed as the insurgents they were hunting.  They carried captured enemy weapons and dressed as insurgents, wandering about the tribal areas attempting to make contact with bands of insurgents.  The white scouts often painted thier skin black, to appear as colored insurgents from a distance.
