    Description

Antique Bronze Ships Bell from the Bonavista built 1884, stranded in 1912.
The bell is from the ship Bonavista built in 1884 in the U.K. by Wigham Richardson & Co.
As I understand it the Bonavista stranded/wrecked in 1912 near Briar Island, Nova Scotia.
I don't know who the maker of the bell is, but I am assuming it was made in the U.K. as the ship was.
The bell weights approximately 55lbs. and measures approximately 15.5"H x 13.25"W
The bell does have one small crack on the rim approx. 1" long (please see photo)
For more info on the ship and a photo it please see these websites or Google it.
