Please Read!!The Van is named "Summer Crush", that name is based off of my and millions of other kids Childhood Crush's of Farrah Fawcett. I had her poster above my bed that I won at the fair when I was 10. I had that same style poster hanging on the back wall of the Van, but when the interior was redone. I couldn't put anything on the new paneling without cringing of putting a hole in it. Not to mention this thing is pretty big and tall so Crush seemed fitting nevertheless.
1982 Dodge Ram Van B250 4X4 Custom Van, I believe this was a Pathfinder Conversion, but just what I was told.. If your looking for a pristine show van in perfect condition. Keep looking, because this isn't the one.
On the other hand, if your looking for a hard to find No Window, Shorty, 4x4, Big Yellow Dodge Custom Van that is a nice driver. Keep reading. Head Turner!
I have owned this about 10 years and done many things over the years to improve it. But it still can use some things here and there as any old vehicle does. As you know the things you started with in the beginning are not new anymore. Owning a classic is a lifelong project.
The side pipes are functional and the upholstery was done about 5 years ago or so. Black Velvet Inserts with Black Vinyl and Cedar Wall Paneling and Black Shag Carpet. The back seat lays flat into a bed.
The top of doors, seat bases and dog house are painted in Little Daddy Roth Trippin "Mind Splitter Flake." When the light hits it right it sparkles. The paint is around 10 years old and was just a driver quality paint job. I wanted something I could drive here and there and not worry about it being perfect. At one point I moved and the new house garage door was too small to pull it in, so there was a few summer months it sat out, thus why I think the roof has started with some peeling and wear on top. I feel it it had been in the garage it would not have happened.
It needed to have some work done on the body by the side door handle, so they had to blend the paint after fixing it. Due to the age of the paint unfortunately, it was not a perfect match. It is a hair lighter on the side cargo right door into the passenger door at the body line up. Someone passing by will not notice it, but if your a serious car guy or someone points it out, you may see it. Just being as honest as possible. The speaker wires etc are run under the driver floor mat, new owner may want to reroute them, but it works.
It had new door and window seal rubber put in. It has NOS Coors Floor Mats and NOS Van entry mats at side and front doors.
It was yellow prior and looks like it may have been black at one time. It has air conditioning but does not work and needs converted to the new system. The heat, lights, signals all work. I put a new radio in it with AM/FM and CD. Yes it has a few oil drips, I think maybe from the oil pan, almost all old vehicles do.
In the time I have owned this, it is stored indoor every year from October to April. So in having work done on it and just driving it to a random car shows or here or there. I maybe have put 5,000 miles on it in all that time. I do not drive it in the winter, snow or the rain. I have never gone off road as I am too picky. The prior owner said he did not drive it in winter, snow etc either and used it for local show n shines. I have never used the 4x4 in it, the prior owner said it worked. It has manual hubs.
You can see the pics of underneath, it is a clean body. The motor is a 318V8 and it is just a motor, nothing flashy, no chrome or crap like that. When I bought it, the prior owner estimated it had about 16k on his motor rebuild. I am estimating I put 5k on it, possibly more. So the mileage is really unknown other than what I just told you.
The white & black chair, orange stool, huge Farrah framed poster and mushroom tapestry are unattached decor and do not go with the van. If you want to keep the Farrah theme. I have an original Farrah Poster still rolled up in the plastic that you could attach to the back wall that we can discuss.
I will only sell to the lower 48 USA Only, no over seas or zero feedback bidders. It will require an immediate ,000.00 non refundable deposit. The balance is preferred paid by a safe bank wire transfer from your bank to mine. Or cash in person. That is the fastest and cleanest way to make sure it is paid so it can be picked up. It will go no where until funds are clear.
Last fall I sold two vehicles on eBay for a family member and a truck of mine. One buyer drove across the country to pick it up. The other wired and had a transport pick it up. Both buyers said I was accurate of my representation. I always welcome you to pick up in person out here in Southeast Idaho, stay an extra day and wire the money while your in town. Sold as is with no warranty.
Buyer is responsible for any and all shipping costs. I will work with you as far a date for you to pick up or your transport.
Ask questions, assume nothing. Thank you for looking.
I always get the question "Can I fly in and drive it clear across the country?" Have at it, but the gas will break you, the extreme heat will break you and your back will be sore. I am not that brave on any old vehicle. So far everyone has come and picked up and trailered or shipped it out with a transport.
Please make sure you have researched shipping and have a way to pay for it. And above all, ask your wife or husband prior to buying please!
On a side note someone that lives in a city nearby had seen this ad online from last fall as I listed it prior to storage. He came up and looked at it and said it was exactly as described and even a little better. But everyone's version of condition varies.
