    Description

Up for bids is a vintage 1974 Turner Signal Kicker Ultra-Kicker CB/HAM Antenna NIB. This was the pinnacle of CB antennas in it's day. This Turner Ultra Kicker was their flagship model. A new one still in the box is unheard of. Although it is designed for 27Mhz/11 meters (CB) it could easily be tuned for 10 meter use.
    This antenna
    does not rotate.
It is a relay controlled electronically directed beam dipole array. The control box switches the antenna relays for direction or can close them all for omnidirectional use. There is only enough wire included with the antenna to exit the bottom of the mast. It will require a seven multi color wire bundle to go between the antenna and the controller. for a better description of this antenna see the last picture (magazine ad).
This was a local attic find and purchased from the original owners wife. She said he was so overwhelmed by the size of the antenna he never put it together. I purchased it for possible use on 10 meters, but just like the original owner I do not have the space or the heavy duty mast this antenna will need. I did do a full inventory of parts, took lots of pictures, then repacked her. It is all there and has never been assembled. the original box is all there but in poor condition after 46 years in the attic. There is some oxidation on the 40 pounds+ of aluminum in this box but not bad for 46 years old. The original instruction manual is also in the box.
I would prefer a local pick-up on this antenna, however if shipping is desired it would be costly. The original box would not survive shipping. She would have to be placed in a larger box which would make it 72" X 16" X 10" and the weight would be over 65 pounds. Since it is not packaged for shipping at this time, to ship would require a week for me to acquire the box and packing materials.
This antenna is a beast. It weighs 52 pounds in the original box. Assembled this antenna weighs over 42 pounds, is almost 14 feet in diameter and is over 22 feet tall. Just the lower mast pipe (part#17) weighs 10 pounds. (If someone wins this I would enjoy seeing a pic of it assembled)
The last picture is from a CB magazine circa 1975. This antenna was 9.95 some 46 years ago and due to its extreme rarity I do have a reserve on this auction.
Any questions please drop me a line and thank you for taking a look
    PLEASE NOTE:
If you have "0" feedback, message me before bidding or I will remove your bid and block you from further bidding. This may seem cruel, but after 18 years on e-bay I no longer have the time to resolve scam efforts. Thank You

Extra Notes: In the layout picture there is a small bag of rubber gasket compound. The rubber in that package turned to stone long ago and is not usable. In many pictures of this antenna it appears to have a ground plane. There is not a ground plane with this antenna, those are guy wires.
