This is a really cool piece of communication history. This is a press release package dated June 1962 for Project Telstar which was the first communication satellite to transmit live TV and telephone communications. This collection has the original folder, a 20 page information booklet, 8 packets of typed press information, 17 8 x 10 black and white photos and a postcard. The cover folder is in rough condition with stains and small tears. The information booklet has wear on edges, the typed information pages are in good condition with no damage, the 17 8 x 10 black and white photos all in good condition, with pictures of the satellite, the commination room, several ground station antennas, orbit information and more.
