    It is reinforced with 6 strands of what appears to be fiberglass running through it to support it. It is too soft and pliable to be pure graphite and not fibrous like jute or paper.  It is very slippery and should make a great wrapping seal for pump shafts and valve stem shafts..

    I put it in my digital calipers and it measures 1.99 mm
